"Calling ALL ladies"
- we thought we should bring to your attention a really good social meeting for ladies of all ages and all interests. It takes place here at Trinity in the evening of the first Monday of each month.
This club has in fact been in existence for a number of years and was originally formed by the "Young Wives" who wanted to get away from the daily household routine and expand their knowledge in a relaxed and informal way. Times have of course moved on since those early days, life-styles have changed, and the club has even changed its name twice, first to Wives' Monday Club (to accommodate the not so young wives), and now to Women's Monday Club (to include all ladies whatever their status). But throughout these years the spirit of the club has remained constant.
We have a very varied programme, which includes speakers on a wide range of subjects, our members' evenings could take the form of poetry, music, "bring and taste" or keep-fit evenings and are always light-hearted and good-humoured. In the autumn we go to the theatre, during the winter we have a meal in a restaurant and in the summer we visit a place of interest. When the meetings are held at Trinity we always have time for refreshments, which allows us the opportunity to chat with people we do not see often.
So ladies, whatever your age, do think about getting away from the television or whatever on a Monday evening, give yourself a treat and come and join us. We look forward to seeing you.
