Worship
and service
are two sides of the same coin: our
mission embraces a variety of outreach projects and a series of
programmes to increase our Christian knowledge and deepen our faith.
Overseas Mission
Work in the Gambia
The church has a long-standing involvement with the Gambia. We funded the erection of a school building and a clinic, and support ante-natal and infant care, a farm and educational work. In summer 2000 a party from the church began to construct a community centre and church, and to build relationships with Gambian Christians. Learn more.
Emmanuel AIDS Project
During 2004 and 2005 through Christian Aid Trinity has been supporting a project in North India. The Herbertpur Hospital is one of a group of 18 church-related hospitals in the Emmanuel Hospital Association. Inspired by the Christian faith EHA has a holistic approach to HIV/AIDS care and prevention. As followers of Christ they seek to provide a caring ministry and are guided by people-oriented policies. Water for Ethiopia
In the middle of the year 2000 a member of Trinity was called, through Christian Aid, to work in Ethiopia. Thus began a calling to our church to support an initiative of the Orthodox church to help meet the urgent need for a supply of clean water in that part of the world. Several articles on the project have appeared in TLT.
Friends of Woodbank
We are also associated with Woodbank, the local Methodist Home for the Aged, contributing practical and pastoral support to the excellent care already provided.
Pastoral Care
The pastoral care of our congregation is integral to our mission. Every member and those adherents who express a desire are assigned a pastoral visitor, who gives contact and support.
The minister is always willing to visit and provide home communion on request.
