Good morning! You're listening to Trans World Radio…

Who? ! hear you say! Trans World Radio (TWR) was founded in 1952 and is now the most far-reaching Christian radio broadcasting network in the world. They have programs in over 180 languages and broadcast in more than 160 countries. TWR aim to assist the church to fulfil the command of Jesus Christ to make disciples of all nations and use and make available mass media to:

•     Proclaim the Gospel of salvation to as many people as possible;

•     Instruct believers in biblical doctrine and daily Christ-like living;

•     Model our message through our corporate and cooperative relationships.

TWR's five-year vision plan for programming includes responding to the global needs of youth and children, women, HIV/AIDS and health issues, oral communicators, church/leadership development and seizing strategic opportunities as God directs,

TWR's worldwide team consists of over 2,000, who work on translating, adapting, producing and broadcasting the programs as well as coordinating in-country listener follow-up. For further information or to listen to TWR online visit: www.twr.org.

So, why am I telling you this? Well, not only is TWR an organisation doing great mission work throughout the world, it is also the organisation I will be working for, starting from September. I will be working at the office in Vienna (Austria) in PR and Fund development. The job will mainly involve:

1)         Training in foundation, corporate and government donations this autumn to be overseeing that area in 2008

2)    Public Relations strategy; developing and writing materials

(print, audio, video) and distributing them

3)    Helping the PR team meet deadlines to pull together

materials and special events

Of course I am very excited about this opportunity and I would like to ask for your prayers as the final arrangements are made.

We have come to the end of this programme, thank you for listening!
